DANNY WARD scored as Town went down 3-1 in their behind-closed- doors friendly at Sheffield Wednesday.

Keeper Ian Bennett, Anthony Gerrard, Calum Woods, Adam Hammill, Scott Arfield and Anton Robinson also featured in the training-ground game.

Wiltshire’s Simon Hooper will take charge of Town’s home Championship clash with Brighton on Saturday.

A national list referee since 2008, it will be his 16th match this season, and sixth in the second tier.

Hooper, whose last match was between Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough, has shown two red cards and 33 yellows this term.

His last Town match was the 1-0 League I defeat at Oldham in November 2010.

l Bolton recorded a loss of £22.1m in the last financial year, taking their total debt to £136.5m.

However, £125m of the debt is owed to owner Eddie Davies, which has been refinanced into a long-term loan.
