TRIALIST Jason St Juste was today handed a first chance to push for a Town contract.
The 20-year-old former Darlington and Southampton winger (right) was included in the Reserves to face Rotherham at Millmoor (2.00).
Leeds-based St Juste has impressed Peter Jackson in training and today lined up alongside Paul Rachubka, David Mirfin, Tom Clarke and Danny Schofield, who has recovered from the sickness bug which is now keeping Danny Adams and Chris Brandon out of training.
"Jason has done really well in training, he's quick, he's got good feet and this is a chance to have a look at him," said Jacko.
"I always liked the look of him at Darlington and, once he became available from Southampton, I was very pleased to get him here on trial for a close-up look."
St Juste is not registered with a club, so Town could sign him without problem.
He was set to play on the left wing in the Pontin's League Central Division fixture, with James Hand filling in at left-back.
Town Reserves - Rachubka, Hardy, T Clarke, Mirfin, Hand, St Juste, Ahmed, Young, McAliskey, Schofield, Walls. Subs: From the Academy.
* Town Supporters Trust have Alan Sykes as their guest in the Panasonic tomorrow (7.30) for a meeting which is open to all fans.
