IT'S a big night for Chris Brandon.

The attacking midfielder comes face to face with his former club just days after playing a key role as a substitute in Town's 3-2 win at Stockport.

And Brandon is keen to mark his first ever appearance at the newly re-named Galpharm Stadium (7.45) with another impressive display and a win.

"It was nice to get on and to make a contribution on Saturday and I really enjoyed it, but I'm looking forward to playing at home, especially against my old mates," he said.

"To win your first match of the season just breeds confidence in the squad, there has been a tremendous atmosphere among the boys since Saturday and now we can go into the Chesterfield game with a spring in our step.

"If we can capitalise on Saturday's result with two wins at home then it will be a really great start to the season - and that's what we are aiming to do."

The 28-year-old, who set up Andy Booth's late equaliser at Edgeley Park, is obviously keen to make Peter Jackson's starting line-up in the not too distant future.

"My instructions were just to get the ball down and attack and it paid off for us," he added.
