STEVENAGE have admitted a Football Association charge of failing to control their players at the end of their 2-1 League I loss to Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm on October 8.
But the Hertfordshire club have not accepted the standard £2,500 fine, which Town paid after admitting the same charge.
The FA will hear Stevenage’s case by next Tuesday.
The on-pitch confrontation between players from the two sides followed Stevenage coach Dino Maamria’s refusal to accept Town manager Lee Clark’s handshake at the final whistle.
Clark paid a £1,000 fine after admitting a separate FA charge of misconduct.
