THAT was the year that was!

And what a year of achievement for the club - and for the Trust.

With memories of Cardiff still sharp in most supporters' minds, there is eager anticipation for the season ahead.

What a contrast to the start of last season, when we were simply glad to be there at all!

With survival assured, it is also time for the Trust to look ahead, not just for this coming season but beyond that.

It's an exciting time to be a supporter of Huddersfield Town and that excitement is mirrored in the Trust's objectives.

Next Monday, August 2, is the date for the second annual meeting to be held at the stadium, starting at 7.30pm.

In addition to the formal business of reviewing the Trust's first year and voting for committee members (additional nominations welcome), there will be an explanation of the proposal to use some of the Trust's reserve funds to finance a Matched Funding project which is aimed at securing the playing and training facilities required if the club and the Academy are to progress.

This really is an opportunity to maximise the use of the reserves by multiplying their value 10-fold in underpinning the club's future and both Andrew Watson and Gerry Murphy will be there to add their views.

Members are urged to attend to participate in the discussion about the exciting future in store for the Trust as a cornerstone of the club's development.

The annual meeting is also a chance for new (and lapsed) members to sign up as part of that future too.
