PETER JACKSON plans to start talks soon attempting to make Lee Fowler a permanent Town signing.
The 20-year-old Welsh Under 21 cap is available on a free from Coventry City when his loan expires early next month.
"Lee loves playing for this club and I want to sign him, so it's all down to whether we can reach an agreement with Lee," said Jackson, aware that Fowler still has 18 months to run on his lucrative Highfield Road contract.
"Lee has settled in really well with the other lads and he's playing so well that people tend to forget he's only 20, with very few games under his belt.
"Saturday against Torquay was his best performance. That's the standard he is capable of."
