IRREPRESSIBLE Efe Sodje has played on the biggest football stage on the globe.

But the Nigerian World Cup player insists going to Cardiff with Town on May 31 will be right up there with the greatest moments of his career.

"It's unbelievable, fantastic, marvellous," said the man who skippered Town through their two dramatic play-off clashes with Lincoln.

"They are a good side and they gave it a hell of a go, but our character was superb.

"During our discussions at half-time, Terry Yorath said that the hard work we did in pre- season would start paying off and he was right.

"We kept our heads up, kept going and got our reward.

"The team spirit here is better than any club I've ever been at, and that showed last night.

"We're all in it - the whole squad, not just those who were on the field last night.

"Our supporters could see that in the second half."

On the subject of supporters, Sodje added: "They were superb, and I'm so pleased that we have given them the chance of a great day out in Cardiff.

"Even when we were two down (one behind on aggregate) I knew we could still do it.

"We started the second half brightly, Andy Booth got into the box and was clearly brought down, and after Danny scored the penalty, we were ready for anything."
