Today marks the 20th anniversary of Huddersfield Town's play-off final victory over Bristol Rovers at Wembley .

On 28th May 1995, Town secured a place in the second tier, then the First Division, for the first time in 7 years with a 2-1 triumph over the Pirates .

To celebrate, we're running a live blog of the game as it happened, as well as all your memories of a momentous chapter in the club's history.

We'll be talking a trip down memory lane to relive the game, which Town won 2-1 thanks to goals from Andy Booth and Chris Billy, either side of a Marcus Stewart equaliser.

We asked you to get in touch with all of your best memories of the day , plus a three-word summary of the final.

Here are the best responses we have compiled to help celebrate the club's Wembley win.

Bob, Bristol - Best memory? Arriving home to a house decked out in Town flags and scarves as my Bristol Rovers neighbours sadly look on.I did feel a tiny bit sorry for them.

Three-word summary? A joyous occasion.

Dan, Mirfield - Best memory? Being right behind the goal when Billy fired home. We were so close you could almost feel the ball hit the net, then pandemonium... I felt dizzy, grabbed my mate Adam and screamed until my voice was hoarse!

Three-word summary? Heart in mouth.

Neil, Linthwaite - Best memory? The release of emotion at the final whistle. I'd seen my team win at Wembley.

Three-word summary? Best day ever.

Dave, Bradley Bar - Best memory? I was living in East Sussex but drove up to Huddersfield so I could come back south on the coaches and experience the real atmosphere. Seeing Leicester Forest Service Station as a sea of blue and white was class.

Three-word summary? Pride, pride, pride.

Nigel, Mirfield then Dewsbury now - Best memory? The final whistle blowing and knowing that we had been promoted to the second tier in the football league.

Three-word summary? Super, smashing, great.

Jonathan, Elland - The whole occasion - the sea of blue and white followed by the elation of Boothy's goal, the demoralisation of Stewy's equaliser, then the relief of Chris Billy's diving header. Another fond memory is being covered in Champagne at Leicester Forest Service Station!

Three-word summary? Elation, relief, celebration!

Clive, Cleckheaton - Best memory? Walking down Wembley Way with my 11-year-old son Lee, not believing he was seeing the Town at Wembley at 11 years old. I didn't imagine I would ever see this, never mind my son!

Three-word summary? Gone to heaven.

Aaron, Wooldale - Best memory? I was living in Reading at the time and I remember driving down the M4 with my Town scarf out the window alongside Rovers fans.

Three-word summary? Marcus Stewart crossbar.

Richard, Bolton - Best memory? The drive home and arriving back in Huddersfield with blue streams tied to my white car all the way up the M1.

Tony, Salendine Nook - Best memory? Charging round town when we got back from Wembley blowing my car horn non stop.

Three-word summary? Job well done.

Dan, Lindley - Best memory? You're not singing anymore! Singing this after Chris Billy had scored.

Three-word summary? Best day ever.

And, from a Bristol Rovers fan...

Mel, Wiltshire - Best memory? Marcus Stewart scoring, I was seated right next to the steps which the players climbed to collect their medals. I shook hands with every Huddersfield player even though I was a Rovers fan.

Three-word summary? Best team won.
