TOWN Ladies take on Northern Women’s Combination League leaders Chorley at Warrenside on Sunday (2.00).

The seventh-placed home side aim to inflict only a second league defeat of the season on the Lancastrians.

The reserves go into their West Riding Women’s League Cup quarter-final clash with Silsden at Grange Moor (1.00) buoyed by a 6-0 Second Division victory at Rothwell.

Alice Linsell opened the scoring on 18 minutes following a corner and when player of the match Ophelia Donlon hit a post four minutes later, Rebecca Moore tucked in the rebound.

With half an hour gone Donlon headed home from a corner, and both Linsell and Kate Priestley netted within the next five minutes.

Laura Booth headed home five minutes before the break, but Town couldn’t add to their tally after the break, although Georgia Hamilton hit the bar.

Cup opponents Silsden are top of Division I with only one league defeat this term.

Town’s Under 18s have a Sheffield and Hallamshire League Cup semi-final clash with Handsworth Juniors at Grange Moor tomorrow (11.00).

The Under 15s are away to Hoyland Town having played well to hold a strong and skilful Doncaster Belles side.

Katie Lockwood looked set to seal victory with five minutes to go, but was denied by a great save.

Captain and centre-back Niamh O’Dea was player of the match.

The Under 13s are another side in semi-final action, at home to Sprotbrough and Cusworth Crusaders (11.00).

Town lead Division I after a 3-0 win at Wickersley sealed by Amy Broomhead, Ella Harris and Eleanor Smith. Defender Rose Priestley was player of the match.
