MAJOR roadworks could cause problems for Town fans heading to South Yorkshire to watch their team play Sheffield Wednesday.
Roadworks and road closures near the Hillsborough ground, coupled with a large crowd, means supporters must set off early.
The turnstiles will open from 1.30pm for tomorrow's 3pm kick-off, to encourage supporters to arrive well in time.
More than 3,000 Town fans are expected to make the journey for the Coca Cola League One clash.
Roads will be shut in the Parkside Road and Herries Road areas near the stadium.
A police spokeswoman said: "We are advising people not to take cars into the area close to the ground, if at all possible.
"They should either use public transport or park away from the immediate area and walk to the ground.
"Huddersfield fans are also reminded there is a frequent train service between Huddersfield and Sheffield and that Supertram operates a service between the station in the city centre and the ground."
