TOWN will travel to Charlton in the third round of the FA Cup on the weekend of January 5/6.

The draw, made at Wembley Stadium, set up a repeat of the Championship clash between the sides at The Valley the Saturday before last, which finished 1-1.

Charlton are 13th in the table after their goalless draw at Millwall while Town are 15th. Both have 28 points from 20 games.

It’s the third FA Cup third-round meeting between the pair. Town won 1-0 in the capital in 1925-26 while Charlton triumphed 1-0 in a replay after a 2-2 draw at Leeds Road in 1957-58, the season Town were famously beaten 7-6 in a Division II (now Championship) game at The Valley.
