SAM TOWN'S superb 64 guided Queensbury to the Halifax, Huddersfield Nine-hole Clubs Championship, sponsored by Alexander Audi, at Queensbury on Sunday.
Playing on his home course, Town shot a 79 from his handicap of 15 to turn in a leading score of 64.
But his two team members were not far behind and with Richard Whitworth recording a 66 (off 11) and Nigel Gould 69 (13) they won the team competition by six shots from Hanging Heaton with Longley Park in fourth, four shots adrift.
