FC HALIFAX Town players will be able to call upon the experiences of Tom Platt for any inspiration needed on lifting the FA Trophy at Wembley.

Despite being only 19 years old, Platt, on loan at The Shay from Harrogate Town, has already sampled the famous Wembley atmosphere in the Trophy with York City last season.

Although the midfielder was not part of the Minstermen’s matchday squad that defeated Newport County 2-0 in May 2012, he did travel down to the capital to watch the game.

Platt is unavailable for Town’s quarter-final encounter with Blue Square Premier outfit Dartford, which will be played tomorrow night at The Shay (7.45), having already featured in the competition this season with Harrogate Town.

The tie had been due to be played on Saturday but snow on the pitch forced a postponement.

Dartford’s firepower could also be tested after selling their top goalscorer Harry Crawford to nPower League Two side Barnet last week.

The 21-year-old striker had scored 12 goals in 24 appearances this season for the seventh- placed Darts in the Blue Square Bet Premier and was the fifth leading scorer in the league.

The Bees have tied him down to a three-year contract and he joins up with Edgar Davids’ squad after being watched by director of football Paul Fairclough on several occasions.

As a result of the change of the FA Trophy last eight clash FC Halifax Town’s Blue Square meeting away trip to Altrincham will have to be rearranged with a new date yet to be announced.
