WHAT did you make of the Huddersfield Town performance against Tranmere Rovers?

Below are the ratings from Examiner Huddersfield Town reporter Doug Thomson, while on page two are the fans' ratings submitted by our Player Rater system.

IAN BENNETT
Little he could do about the equaliser, and after spilling Wallace’s shot, made a great save to deny Brunt. 7

GARY NAYSMITH
Took the captain’s armband in the absence of Peter Clarke and Antony Kay and led the side with a solid show. 7

JACK HUNT
Put in a shift in defence, particularly in the first half, then attack as Town reshuffled after Danny Ward went off. 6

JAMIE McCOMBE
Stood firm as his new partnership with Sean Morrison was put to the test. Booked for fouling Devaney. 7

SEAN MORRISON
The loanee soon shook off any rust to make a bright Town debut, catching the eye at both ends of the pitch. 8

DANNY WARD
His opportunities were limited by Tranmere’s dominance of the first half and the knock which forced him off early. 6

DAMIEN JOHNSON
Made some important blocks as he returned after injury for a first game in eight but wasn’t at his best. 6

OSCAR GOBERN
Industrious and got in some telling tackles, but wasn’t quite as influential as usual. Booked for fouling Welsh. 6

JORDAN RHODES
His workrate both in defence and attack was rewarded with a well-taken 29th club goal of the campaign. 8

LEE NOVAK
Put in the hard yards, but like a number of his teammates, didn’t quite reach his normal standard. 6

DANNY CADAMARTERI
Used his power and pace to good effect to trouble Tranmere and claimed a fine assist for Rhodes’ goal. 8

SUBSTITUTES
Tom Clarke (for Ward, 50mins) 7;
Alan Lee (for Novak, 63mins) 6;
Anton Robinson (for Lee, 81mins) 7.
