GIVE the Trust your backing to help secure the long term future of Town's Academy and training facilities.

The Trust have been in discussion with the club since last year about using the majority of the Trust's reserve fund to attract a matched funding grant for a major project.

The grant is raised by the Landfill Tax and distributed to qualifying projects. Ten per cent of the total cost HAS to be provided by a third party, in this case the Trust.

This money cannot come from the club themselves.

A project has been identified that is quite pressing in terms of the continued development of the Academy.

The Academy League structure now requires that matches take place in two new age groups. It would be logistically impossible to play those two matches in different places, so the club desperately needs facilities that contain two pitches.

It has been made possible to purchase a part of the Storthes Hall site from the University to develop into first-class training and match facilities.

There will also be a degree of community use, an ideal that is at the heart of the ideology of the Supporters Trust movement.

A sum of £30,000 from the Trust's reserve could be multiplied tenfold to allow this project to be achieved without diverting valuable funds away from the club.

A deadline of this Friday has been set for the return of voting papers to give the Trust the mandate to release this funding.

The count will follow on Monday with the result announced as soon as possible. At the recent annual meeting, the project was presented by chief executive Andrew Watson and was given unanimous backing on the night.

Although the subject of the Grand Roll of Honour has been rather quiet of late, work has been progressing steadily in the background.

Trust member Phil Shaw has created a mock up of how the Roll could look. It is proposed that the Town shirt design containing all the names of those who contributed will be screen printed onto the reverse of a large sheet of thick plate glass, which will be mounted to the wall at a suitable location at the stadium. We would welcome any thoughts on this subject.

The Trust has a new polo shirt with our brand new logo. The heavyweight Fruit of the Loom shirt is very good quality and is complete with an excellent embroidered logo.

The shirt will normally be available in dark navy only, but anyone ordering before the end of August will get the choice of 10 limited edition colours.

This quality garment represents excellent value at £15.99.

Postage can be arranged or the shirt can be collected from the club.
