SINCE Huddersfield Town exited administration, the Survival Trust have taken every opportunity to develop a mutually beneficial partnership between itself and the club.
Via the Development Association, we have taken the initiative and lent our board's expertise in dealing with the matched funding grants available through landfill tax.
Though we are unable to reveal specific details, the Trust and the Development Association are looking seriously at a major project that could involve other bodies, such as Football in the Community.
Community involvement is crucial to one of the core aims of all supporters trusts.
In a similar spirit of co- operation, the Trust has offered the club help to fund the wages of a loan signing for a month.
This is on the proviso that the club can demonstrate that the signing would not be able to be made without this assistance.
The club has been able to fund the loan signing of Pavel Abbott, but the Trust's offer may allow Peter Jackson to bring in a second loan signing, one that we hope may help Town's rise up the table.
Discussions are ongoing.
Members of the Trust will shortly be receiving their ballot papers in respect of the future of the Trust's cash reserve.
We are asking that these papers are returned in the enclosed envelope as soon as possible.
Members are asked to stamp the envelope to preserve Trust funds.
A mini newsletter will accompany the ballot with Trust news and updates on future events.
