SEETHING Andy Booth felt he was robbed of a penalty despite firing Town back into the automatic promotion slots in League I.

Booth became top scorer with his 14th of the season to earn the 1-1 draw at Port Vale which pushed Town second in front of 1,646 travelling fans.

Booth is still angry, however, at referee Graham Laws not giving a spot kick when he was felled by Vale keeper Mark Goodlad with Town trailing late on.

"It's ridiculous," said Booth.

"Referees are there to give decisions and for him not to give that one was just bewildering.

"If it wasn't a penalty then he should have booked me for diving, but he didn't.

"So he obviously didn't think it was a dive.

"It just had to be a penalty.

"There was no reason for it not to be and it would have made it a completely different game."

Rivals Brentford play their game in hand at MK Dons tomorrow night.

"I'm confident we'll go up," added Booth.

"I don't care if I don't score another goal all season as long as we finish in the top two.

"This weekend is a massive one with Barnsley coming to the Galpharm and Colchester and Brentford playing each other.

"There's still everything to play for and if we can get a win against Barnsley, we will be in with a great shout."

Martin McIntosh (hamstring) is under intensive treatment while illness victim David Graham should be back this weekend.
