Fletcher added: "It's horrible being out injured, nobody likes having to watch games when they'd rather be playing and I just want to stake my claim for a first-team place again.

"We are in a league where any team can beat any other on their day and that's what happened to us against Brighton.

"They were a decent team with good movement and they played very well on the day. Now, we have to make sure that's us.

"Scunthorpe will be tough, they will be solid and they'll battle, so we have to be up for it and focus on the three points."

On how the season is panning out for Town and himself, Fletch added: "If we can get a run together we will be right up there, and we want that by Christmas.

"I only set myself the target of double figures in goals. My best is 19, so I've got a way to go."
