The prospective club saviour is still in talks to gain Football League approval, but Town are already targeting 200 business backers for the new campaign and welcome anyone to attend tonight (7.30) when manager Peter Jackson and coach Terry Yorath will be present.

Chief executive Andrew Watson will explain Town's new commercial operation and Mr Davy said:

"While recognising our talks to save the club are still ongoing, this meeting is an important element of building for the future and we do hope to get an excellent turnout of interested local businesses.

"Peter Jackson will be available to chat about the team and matters on the pitch, while nobody is better placed than Andrew Watson to provide the information people need about the commercial and business aspect of the club.

"The club has been through Death Valley and almost disappeared so, while our talks continue, this meeting tonight is a vital step towards the future and we do hope the business community rally round the club, our chief executive and our teams in the front and back offices who are working so hard."
