HUDDERSFIELD Town have had some top frontmen over the years, and that was certainly the case in the 1960s.

But who was the best of the goalpoachers?

Thats part of the debate as all season were looking for your help to pick the best Town teams from each of the last five decades ... starting with the Sixties.

Each team is divided into goalkeeper, left- back, right-back, centre-halves, left midfield, right midfield, central midfielders and striker.

Every week well give you a list of players to choose from for a specific position.

From here until next month, were going back to the 1960s and, this week, we want your choice for two strikers.

Last week you chose your two central midfielders and came up with the two Jimmys, Nicholson (inset) and McGill.

Now we want you to chose your best strikers from those pictured here Allan Gilliver, Tony Leighton, Derek Stokes, Les Massie, Dave Shaw and Len White.

Choose the two from that list who you felt were best at putting the goals in.

Nicholson, who skippered Town to their memorable Division II title triumph of 1969-70, topped the central midfield poll.

Tough-tackling McGill just edged it over Chris Balderstone.

"Nicholson was inspirational and a driving force when Town last got the top flight," said one fan.
