Huddersfield Town got back to winning ways with an impressive 2-1 victory over high-flying Brentford to move up to 15th in the Championship table.

Sean Scannell got the Terriers up and running in the 18th minute with a composed finish from Nahki Wells' smart cut-back before the influential winger forced Bees left-back Jake Bidwell to turn past his own goalkeeper early in the second half.

Brentford pressed as they looked to fight back and create a club record with a sixth consecutive win at this level and pulled one back through former Leeds United man Jonathan Douglas but could not force a leveller.
