Huddersfield Town Under 21s won 4-1 at Bristol City to strengthen their lead in the Professional Development League II North.

Frankie Bunn’s side, already through to the play-offs for the fourth season in succession, have a seven-point lead over Sheffield United.

Each side have three regular-season games remaining, with Town next in action at home to Cardiff City next Monday.

Rekeil Pyke scored twice and Fraser Horsfall and Lewis O’Brien were also on target in the West Country.

Bristol’s consolation at their Clevedon Road training ground came in stoppage time.

Town keeper Lloyd Allinson saved a penalty after teammate Pyke had put the visitors ahead on 11 minutes.

Horsfall made it two after 34 minutes and O’Brien three after 43.

Pyke claimed his second of the afternoon and 10th of the season at Under 21 level with a 60th-minute header.
