PHIL SENIOR is facing a fitness fight for Saturday's trip to Port Vale.

The 23-year-old is under treatment for a back injury suffered in training and missed today's squad session.

Senior has just 48 hours to prove he's okay for Vale Park and Paul Rachubka, who played in yesterday's 2-0 Reserves defeat to Oldham, is on standby for a first League start in two months.

"Phil is a concern and we are keeping a close eye on him," said manager Peter Jackson, who has picked Senior in nine straight League I matches.

"I'd say Phil is 50-50 at the moment and we'll have to see how he responds to treatment."

Jackson has no plans to make a loan signing before tonight's transfer deadline for this season.

"There will be no players coming in and none going out," said Jacko, who is hunting only a second away win since November.

"I'm happy with the squad as it is and we are up for an exciting finish to the season, hopefully with three more points from Vale Park."
