MICHAEL COLLINS looked back on his wonder winner at Port Vale and beamed: "It's the best feeling I've ever had in football."

Town's talented 20-year-old midfielder put a stylish seal on a 2-1 comeback victory in Burslem on Saturday with a 78th-minute curler.

It came three minutes after Andy Booth's powerfully headed leveller and earned a third straight League I win to put Town sixth in the table.

It was only the second goal of Collins' 45-game career and the Academy product admitted: "How could it get any better than that?

"Pav (Abbott) rolled a nice pass to me, and my first thought was to try and turn.

"As soon as I had done that I knew I had half a yard on Danny Sonner and I thought 'why not go for it?'

"It's the kind of thing you try on the training ground and nine out of 10 times it goes sky-high or miles wide."
