Fulham: The Cottagers are keen on Manchester United defender Reece James.

According to the Daily Mail Cottagers boss Kit Symons wants to sign the eft-back who only signed a new contract at Old Trafford earlier this year on a permanent deal.

The 21-year-old featured in the Championship for Rotherham and Huddersfield last season and has been linked with a loan move to Nottingham Forest.

Reading FC: Steve Clarke is hoping to add three more new faces to his ranks before the close of the transfer window.

Royals’ boss has been busy so far brining in a number of new faces this summer, with goalkeepers Ali Al-Habsi and Jonathan Bond arriving, as well as Stephen Quinn, Paul McShane and Orlando Sa.

“We haven’t finished. We’re still looking. If I could get three more I would be happy. Obviously if I could get a few more than that I would be delighted, but I’m still looking at having at least three to come in.”

Cardiff City: Perth Glory has confirmed Andy Keogh will leave the club after the striker received a lucrative offer from an overseas club - believed to be Cardiff City.

Despite having one more season remaining on his existing Glory deal, Keogh has opted to walk out and continue his career abroad following Perth’s salary cap scandal that engulfed the club last season.

They also appear to be prepared to fight to the very last day of the transfer window to land number one target Johnny Russell.

The 25-year-old Derby winger has been pursued by Bluebirds’ boss Russell Slade all summer and we can reveal Cardiff tabled a bid for the Scottish international - only to see it rejected by the Rams.

WalesOnline understands the two clubs are currently “miles apart” when it comes to a valuation for the player but Cardiff plan to persevere – right up until the moment the window slams shut at 6pm on Tuesday, September 1.

Hull City: Southend United have rebuffed interest from Hull City in their highly-rated goalkeeper Daniel Bentley.

Hull boss Steve Bruce watched the young stopper in action on Saturday during Shrimpers' friendly with West Ham United.

"Steve Bruce spoke to Phil Brown and Steve Kavanagh but we've said no to the offer," said Southend chairman Ron Martin

Bristol City: The Robins have completed the signing of Angers forward Jonathan Kodjia for a fee believed to be around £2million.

The French striker bagged 15 goals in 29 games in Ligue 2 last season, helping the club to promotion to the top flight. He was also named Ligue 2 Player of the Year.

City manager Steve Cotteriill said: "Jonathan has great pace, has scored some fantastic goals, and will fit into the young group we already have,"

QPR: Former Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Jon Maxted is on QPR’s radar as replacement for Alex McCarthy - should the latter leave for Crystal Palace.

Maxted, who came through the youth system at Doncaster was released last summer after joining Walsall on trial rather than sign a new deal at the Keepmoat.

He spent the second half of last season with League Two side Hartlepool United, where he failed to make an appearance before being released in the summer.

Blackburn Rovers: Sources close to the club report they are in talks to sign former Caen forward Bengali-Fode Koita.

The 24-year-old, who can play up front or on the wing, is a former France Under-21 international and is a free agent after leaving Caen earlier this summer

Meanwhile Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has dismissed rumours linking Jordan Rhodes with Championship rivals Middlesbrough.

"I think it is pure speculation," Bowyer told the Lancashire Telegraph. "We've not had anything in terms of contact."
