The summer transfer window has officially opened and many Championship clubs have already moved to obtain their top targets ahead of next season.

Fulham are leading the race to sign Leeds United striker Ross McCormack and are on the verge of sealing an eye-catching £10m deal for the Scotland international. (Get West London)

Cardiff City midfielder Jordon Mutch is the subject of a renewed bid from Premier League side Sunderland, who have launched a £3.5m offer for the talented midfielder. (Wales Online)

Fellow Cardiff man Joe Mason is set to be the subject of a tug of war between Reading and Bolton Wanderers for his services, with the two sides lining up a £1.5m deal. (Wales Online)

The Bluebirds are, however, set to hold on to another midfielder in Don Cowie, with the 31-year-old minded to stay with the club despite reported interest from Blackburn Rovers. (Wales Online)

Reading could be about to lose Garath McCleary to Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion, with the Baggies looking to capitalise on the fact the winger has just one year remaining on his contract at the Madejski Stadium. (Get Reading)

Newly-promoted Burnley believe their £750,000 offer for Craig Bryson is enough to secure his departure from Derby County, despite suggestions from the Rams that it merely allowed a team to open talks with their midfielder. (Lancashire Telegraph)

The Clarets could also be set to swoop for Blackpool's out-of-contract goalkeeper Matt Gilks, despite new manager Jose Riga's desire to keep him at the club. (Blackpool Gazette)

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has revealed he could be powerless to prevent prized asset Aaron Cresswell from leaving Portman Road if a Premier League club comes knocking. West Brom are reportedly watching developments. (East Anglian Daily Times)

Millwall have rejected the chance to re-sign giant striker Stefan Maierhofer, who - in a bizarre twist - believed he was in negotiations with a Premier League club and informed Lions boss Ian Holloway accordingly, only to discover the club in question were Championship side Fulham. (News at Den)

Bolton face competition for free agent Jonathan Parr but are hopeful of concluding a deal for the left-back, who exited Crystal Palace at the end of 2013/2014. (The Bolton News)
