Middlesbrough are set to announce the signing of winger Emilio Nsue from Real Mallorca, with the 25-year-old penning a two-year deal at the Riverside Stadium. (Gazette Live)

Brighton and Hove Albion have been linked with renewed moves for January transfer targets Adam Clayton and Joe Mason as well as last season's loan signing Stephen Ward as Sami Hyypia looks to add to his four summer signings. (The Argus)

But Bolton Wanderers are reportedly confident of staving off interest from Brighton in Mason and are close to agreeing another loan deal for a player who has already had two spells at the Macron Stadium. (The Bolton News)

Leeds United are at loggerheads with Chesterfield over a deal for central defender Liam Cooper as manager Dave Hockaday looks to replace the outgoing Tom Lees, who has joined Sheffield Wednesday. (Yorkshire Evening Post)

Ian Holloway is chasing Blackburn Rovers striker Leon Best to solve his attacking dilemma and could also go back in for Leeds striker Matt Smith, but the Lions have shelved plans for a move for Chelsea'sPatrick Bamford, who is on the verge of a loan switch to Middlesbrough. (News at Den)
