Huddersfield Town manager Mark Robins says they remain in dialogue with other clubs over potential new signings with just 11 days to the new Championship season.

Director of football operations Ross Wilson is at the forefront of those talks and eager to add to the six arrivals so far before Town go into battle against Nottingham Forest at The City Ground on Saturday, August 3.

"I don't know whether we are getting nearer or not at the moment, just that Ross is in dialogue with other clubs over one or two," said Robins."He keeps me informed on a daily basis but things shift and move and it's very difficult to know when something might come together, you just have to wait and see."

"He has publicly said we are hoping to get one or two in before the start of the season but we don't know whether that will happen or not at this stage."

The transfer window, of course, is open until the end of August.

"Ross is very, very helpful and he's good at his job," added Robins."He is a great guy, he's got an enormous amount of energy and he's focused - process driven.

"He has good ideas about what he likes and what he wants to see, but it is ultimately my decision whether a player enters the building or not."Myself and Ross have regular conversations and we have a great relationship, and it's not only the two of us.

"We obviously work closely with Dean Hoyle (chairman) and Nigel Clibbens (chief executive) and it's very much a four-corner approach here. It's a very healthy situation."
