Huddersfield Town have made a bid for Liverpool FC prospect Conor Coady.

The Examiner understands that the bid is around £375,000 - rather than the £500,000 being quoted by other media.

Liverpool FC are understood to be considering the bid for the defensive midfielder, 21.

However our sources report Town are confident of getting the deal done - with it being possibly announced as soon as this evening.

The deal for Coady, who spent last season on loan at Sheffield United, is also believed to contain a number of performance-related add-ons.

Coady started his career with Liverpool coming through their academy ranks.

He captained their Under 21 squad and has also made one senior appearance for the first team, in a Premier League win over Fulham in 2013.

During his loan spell at the Blades, Coady made 39 league appearances.
