Liverpool a readying a bid for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, after watching him repeatedly catch the eye during an extremely successful loan spell with Huddersfield Town.
And according to the Liverpool Echo, his standout displays in the Championship - coupled with three first team appearances for the Foxes in their Premier League title-winning campaign - have caused the Anfield club to value the youngster at £5m.
Although with competition from Arsenal, it's believed they have drawn up a list of other potential targets should they fail to get their man.
Klopp's likely to have already checked in with David Wagner for an opinion on the Leicester defender, and he'll have received extremely favourable reviews.
Speaking in December, Wagner said speculation linking Chilwell with Premier League heavyweights was no surprise , and he paid tribute to his work rate and technique.
And the Town boss tried to extend the initial loan after revealing that the defender was "perfect" for his style of play.
The Terriers were unable to keep the England youth international beyond the initial terms of his loan, but now it looks as if Wagner's mate Klopp will try his hand at securing his signature permanently.
However, Leicester are likely to value their Academy product at a higher price than £5m.
