Sources suggest Huddersfield Town are hoping to bring in England Under 21 left-back Jack Robinson.

The Warrington-born player is set to leave Liverpool for QPR in a £1m move, then be loaned to the John Smith’s Stadium club, providing competition for Scotland international Paul Dixon.

Robinson, 20, who will link up with former Anfield teammate Conor Coady if he joins Town, became Liverpool’s second youngest-ever player in May 2010, when he faced Hull City in a goalless Premier League draw at the KC Stadium aged 16 years, 250 days.

He made 11 Liverpool appearances (nine starts) and had loan spells in Wolves in 2012-13 and Blackpool last season, when he twice faced Town.

Those stints at Molineux and Bloomfield Road mean he can boast 45 Championship appearances.

Robinson played for England at Under 16, 17 and 18 level and featured in the European Under 19 Championships in Estonia in 2012.

He has nine Under 21 caps and is in the squad for the forthcoming European Championships qualifiers in Lithuania and Moldova.
