Richard Horsfall and Rosie Andrews, the 2013-14 captains of Crosland Heath, raised £1,731 for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice during their year in office.

They handed the cheque to fellow member and fundraiser Gina Fielding at the club, and the money raised will help the Friends of Forget Me Not Support Group pay for a music therapist at the hospice.

Gina said: “The support Crosland Heath Golf Club has given the charity over the last few years is amazing.

“We feel honoured that we are one of their chosen charities in the centenary year 2014/15.

“The hospice is caring for over 80 families either in their own homes or at Russell House, but to do this £2.8m per year has to be raised.”
