Great Britain rider Amira Mellor faced a tough test as she warmed up for next weekend’s Cyclo-cross World Championships in the Czech Republic.

The national junior champion and former Holme Valley Wheeler finished in 32nd in the elite women’s race in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup in Hoogerheide, Holland.

GB’s Helen Wyman and Nikki Harris took top-10 finishes, with Mellor’s other teammate heading for world finals Tabor at the weekend Hannah Payton placed 34th.

In the Under 23 men’s race at the event in Hoogerheide, Halifax’s Jack Clarkson was 20th.
