Trampolinist Annabel Stott has became a British Champion.

The 13-year-old fought off great competition to take the British School’s Under 14 Girls title.

A pupil at Ryburn Valley High School in Sowerby Bridge, Stott trains up to four times each week with Kirklees Rebound Trampoline Club, based at Huddersfield Sports Centre under the watchful eye of head coach Barry Peaker.

Stott started her gymnastics career at the age of six at Diamonds Gymnastics Club in Halifax, but made the transition to trampolining two years ago.

She has gone from strength to strength and her hard work has certainly paid off.

Stott finished second in the regional competition in Hull in January this year, then travelled to Newtownards in Northern Ireland last month for the zonal round, finishing in first place which put her in a great position for the British Finals in Birmingham, where she completed two excellent routines and took the gold in style.

Kirklees Rebound will be moving into the new Huddersfield Leisure Centre when it opens later this year, but have plans to move to a purpose built trampoline centre in the near future.

Land has been donated to the club on the site of North Huddersfield Trust School and a planning application is in process.

If anyone wishes to help with the build contact the Club on 07787157853.
