Jared Simpson's stunning start to his Super League career has certainly been eye-catching.
The 19-year-old Giants full-back has been named in the five nominations for the official First Utility Super League Player of the Month for June.
The Huddersfield junior product has been noticed after making just three first team appearances – scoring two tries.
Sampson has been pitted against Denny Solomona and Luke Gale, who have benefitted from Castleford Tigers’ continued impressive form, Shannon McDonnell of St Helens and Hull KR’s Albert Kelly.
Sampson made his debut only three weeks ago and announced himself with a try after seven minutes of the Giants 32-18 defeat at the hands’ of Wigan Warriors at the John Smith’s Stadium.
He retained his place in the starting line-up for the Giants for the 30-19 home win over Warrington Wolves, when he was a tryscorer again, and for the 30-22 away win at Widnes Vikings.
