Daniel Carr will be competing with Blackpool frontman Nathan Tyson as well as former Town loan striker Jon Parkin at Fleetwood Town.

The injury-hit League II club have landed Tyson as well as Town teenager Carr on loan ahead of today’s home clash with Mansfield.

Town boss Mark Robins brought Carr off the bench in the last two Championship games, against Wigan and Birmingham.

But with James Vaughan and Martin Paterson back in the fray to join Jon Stead and Cristian Lopez as frontline options, he considered the timing right for Carr to go out.

Fleetwood have Jamille Matt sidelined with an ankle injury while David Ball sustained a shoulder problem in Saturday’s defeat at Northampton.

While former Dulwich Hamlet ace Carr has joined for an initial month, Tyson has moved up the West coast club until January 31.

The 31-year-old ex-Reading, Wycombe and Nottingham Forest player only arrived at Bloomfield Road this summer after leaving Derby.

He made his Blackpool debut as a substitute in a 2-1 victory at Bournemouth in September and also came off the bench in the Sky-televised draw at Town later t hat month.
