Linda GledhillL, of Marsh United, followed up her success in the Ladies League President’s Trophy by winning the Ladies Afternoon League Merit final.
And she beat the same opponent, clubmate Jean Gee, this time by 21-9 in the showpiece at Kirkheaton CBC.
From the fourth end onwards, Gledhill was never behind in the final and she built an early 10-2 lead.
Gee hit back and managed to reduce the deficit to 12-7 after 14, but that was as close as it got. Gledhill quickly put a run of six together and with Gee picking up only a couple more chalks at the 20th end, Gledhill was soon over the line.

The Ladies Merit, sponsored in memory of Enid Blackburn, takes place at Linthwaite Hall BC on Sunday, August 4, starting at 11.30 am (stratching at 11.45 am and then when called).
