Meltham Under 12s remain just one point behind leaders and derby rivals Netherton following victory over Brighouse in their chase for the RCD Huddersfield Junior League Division 5A title.

Brighouse hit the net three times, but a four-goal response from Dawid Wojciuk, together with two for Morgan Thornton and one each for Fraser Hepplestone, Oliver Bingham and Ben Sykes sealed a comfortable 9-3 win for Meltham.

In the Under 13s, Cumberworth picked up another win to keep them well placed for promotion from Division Three.

Home side Greetland scored three times to keep the game finely balanced, but replies from Oliver Grimbleby, Jude Dugdale and a William Higham hat trick secured a hard earned 5-3 victory for Cumberworth.

Queensbury remain the only unbeaten team in Division 5A following victory at Gomersal.

The home side were unable to find the net as goals from Connor Cooper (3) and Bingham sealed a 4-0 win for Queensbury.

A solid 7-2 win over Howden Clough keeps Kirkburton Under 14s firmly at the top of Division Three.

Goals from Richards (3), Epplestone (2), Howe and Hurley proved more than enough to seal the three points for Kirkburton.

In the same division, Marsden travelled to Hove Edge for a meeting with fellow strugglers Brighouse.

Marsden struck three times in their bid to improve on their single victory so far, but it was not enough as replies from Liam Read, George Jaffry (2), Logan Massey (2) and a Luke Doyle hat trick sealed an 8-3 win for Brighouse.

Penistone played host to Shelf in Division 4A of the Under 15s but, despite goals for Reece Mhagrh and Ethan Wareing, it was the visitors who took the three points with replies from Sam Farnforth (2), Jordan Maudsley and Daniel Lee giving Shelf a 4-2 victory.

Savile Town Under 15s are struggling this season and their trip to Salendine Nook ended in their worst defeat of the season at the hands of YMCA.

Savile Town failed to find the YMCA net as strikes from Ben Deitch (3), Curtis Stennett (3), Smallwood (2), Jack Wilde, Luke Wadsworth and Cameron Dunn sealed an 11-0 victory for the home side.

Despite remaining unbeaten in Division Two of the Under 16s, Dalton Dynamoes’ 2-2 draw with Batley means they have now drawn three of the five games played.

Bellwood and Brooke scored for Dalton to keep them in the hunt for promotion but Batley’s two-goal reply leaves Dalton with only a single point for their efforts.

Brighouse Under 17s pulled off a surprise victory over 3D Dynamos for only their second win of the Division One season.

The title-chasing Dynamos found the Brighouse net once but a Chris Karmasyn hat trick added to strikes from Ben Paterson, Daragh Connolly, Jake Broadbent and Regan Broadbent sealed a very valuable three points for Brighouse.

In Division Two of the Under 17s, Netherton picked up three points with a narrow win over Linthwaite to keep them at the top of the standings.

Three goals for Linthwaite failed to stop the visitors’ unbeaten run as replies from Henry Bratby (2), Daniel Russell and Jordan Porter ensured a 4-3 victory for Netherton.

In the same division, Northowram Under 17s moved into mid-table respectability with a solid victory at Battyeford.

A single strike from the home side was not enough as replies from Will Parkin, Anthony Smith, Kieran Hoey and a Carmello Sutcliffe hat trick sealed a 6-1 win and three points for Northowram.

Batley Under 17s travelled the short distance to meet rivals Gomersal but, despite scoring three times, they came away with nothing as a Mylo Hooley hat trick and a single strike from Glenn Aspindle gave Gomersal a 4-3 win to keep them top of Division Three.
