Six young swimmers from the Borough of Kirklees Synchronised Club were part of the successful City of Leeds squad taking part in the Nationals.

Tilly Budd, from BoK, at nine one of the youngest swimmers in the competition, so impressed the judges that she was invited to take part in the subsequent England Talent trials.

City of Leeds Synchronised Swimming Club enjoyed their best ever results at the National Age Group Championships, winning eight medals in total, five of which were gold.

The championships attract top synchronised swimming teams from throughout the country with disciplines in age group teams, solos and duets as well as figures.

City of Leeds Head Coach Sarah Speers explained, “I am delighted with the whole team. The huge number of medals won is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our girls and coaches.”
