Longwood Harriers duo Luke White and Hakan Dalbal have been selected in the West Yorkshire squad for the English Schools’ Cross Country Championships.
Both impressed in the West Yorkshire Championships, with White finishing sixth in 15min 57sec and Dalbal eighth (16-10).
They were the first two Kirklees athletes to finish, underlining their status as the best in their age-group from this area, and they are now looking forward to competing in the English finals on March 14 at Witton Country Park in Blackburn.
Other Longwood Harriers athletes in the West Yorkshire Intermediate boys race were Elliot Thompson, who was 17th in 22-21 and Niall O’Connell (23rd in 22-55).
