DAVE HAYMAN was promoted into the Holmfirth C team for the fourth time this season and helped them retain second place in the table with a 7-2 win over Kirkburton D.

Although visitors Kirkburton are from the opposite end of the Division III table, Holmfirth knew it would be a tough test for them in the Huddersfield Badminton League.

It certainly looked that way when Kirkburton took the first two men’s points, but Holmfirth then powered back to win all the remaining matches – not dropping a set among the ladies.
