Borough of Kirklees Swimming club bagged three gold medals as their squad shone at the Yorkshire Winter Championships.

The event was held at Ponds Forge International Pool in Sheffield and BoK had 72 of their swimmers finishing in the top 10 and they won 20 medals across the age groups.

The younger members excelled and Seth Leech was a gold medallist in the 10-years section – achieving his gold in 50m fly.

At 12-years level there was gold for Matthew Wilby in the 100m breaststroke and in the 13-years section Sam Loizou won the 200m individual medley.

The club’s youngsters also achieved a number of silvers, as Leech together with Milly Boulding both won two medals, and Joshua Riding took one in the 10-years.

Nathan Cullen in the 12-years won four silver medals in 100m freestyle, 100m backstroke, 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley.
