THERE is a £1,000 first prize on offer in the final of the Elland C&BC Classic on Sunday.

After eight qualifying rounds involving 124 bowlers from far and wide, the final sixteen draw has been decided to contest a prize pot of £3,150.

Club president Barry Nicholl and competition organiser David Greenwood welcome all spectators to their excellent facilities (entry is £1).

Quality food will be available and the bar open. Running the book for this event will be Graham Hirst.

Players can practice from 4pm and the competition starts at 4.30.
