DESPITE an impressive home success Yorkshire failed to build a big enough lead to beat North Derbyshire in the Crown Green Bowling Association Ladies County competition.
The home side were in strong form at Linthwaite CBC with just four of their 12 matches being conceded to the visitors.
Those efforts saw Yorkshire come through 219-201, but the away side found it harder going.
Playing at Bolsover Colliery the away team managed to gain four wins, but the North Derbyshire side amassed a strong enough aggregate to win 238-191 and take the match 439-210.
