The Liberal League’s John Carstairs Memorial Mixed Pairs Merit final will be played at Primrose Hill Lib on Sunday (2.00).

There is prize money of over £400 and the event is sponsored by Primrose Hill Liberal Club.

There’s £1,000 up for grabs and the Fred Baxter Memorial Trophy in Crosland Moor’s Open 64 Competition, which gets under way tomorrow (6.30).

Some top bowling is in prospect with quality bowlers from around the district entered, and all vying for the £400 first prize, which has been sponsored by Huddersfield Bearings and Park Road Fisheries.
