MARSH UNITED are expecting a big crowd on Sunday when Yorkshire play Warwick & Worcester in the Endsleigh Senior County Championship final.
Yorkshire are looking to retain the Crosfield Cup they won last year (2pm) and seven bowlers from the Slawit & Golcar Cars Huddersfield League are included in the home line-up.
Graham Hickey, Graeme Wilson and Craig Gant are in the top four, while Dave Fox and Jack Dyson are in the midfield and Robert Hitchen and Ashley Daykin in the final three.
It’s a 95th county appearance for Netherton Con star Daykin, who will be hoping to make up for his Yorkshire Cup final team disappointment by helping the White Rose take the big one.
Four Huddersfield bowlers – Ian Booth (Lower Hopton), Chris Mordue (Brighouse), Nicky White (Thongsbridge) and clubmate James Davison (playing out of Eccleshill) – are in the away side at Valley BC.
At Marsh United, spectators are asked to avoid vehicular access via Eldon Road as there will be no parking available down that road – the club car park is for players and officials only.
There is ample roadside parking slightly away from the club and foot access to the green itself will be by the two gates at either side of the club.
