Bowls: Classic field ready to do battle in Rastrick final

FIVE players with tournament wins already this season are in the field for the final of the Rastrick Classic on Sunday.

FIVE players with tournament wins already this season are in the field for the final of the Rastrick Classic on Sunday.

Multiple winners Ashley Daykin and Jim Derby are looking for more success along with fellow winners Mark Hughes, Neil Dolan and Lee Heaton (5.30).

Daykin goes in off the back of a great win over Gary Ellis in the Pudsey Classic final to add to his Moorside Classic win in Oldham.

Derby won both the Elland Open and the Fleetwood Festival Open.

Dave Fisher is the only player from last year’s final to qualify again. Practice starts 4.30 and there’s an all-day bar plus hot and cold food.
