HUDDERSFIELD provided all the home team for Yorkshire County Ladies – and they were triumphant against Cumbria.

Playing at Almondbury BC, Yorkshire took the home leg 243-191 while the away side won 207-200 at King Alfred BC for a 59-point overall success.

Captain Joan Wrigley (Broad Oak) watched her side play excellently at home for another excellent County Championship result – Julie Best (Marsh U) and Pauline Wilde (Lockwood Con) holding their nerve to clinch 21-20 successes.
