HUDDERSFIELD are back on top of the Yorkshire Veterans Inter-district League.

The Perrys-sponsored side defeated Leeds 37-19 to go six points clear of rivals Skipton at the top of the table.

The away team played very well to achieve a 20-8 win at Harehills Park, while the home team also secured a solid 17-11 success at Lockwood Con.

Huddersfield had three excellent performances by Frank Griffin, who won 21-1, Barry Gibson who posted a 21-3 success and Frank Greenwood, who couldn’t be touched in his 21-4 triumph.
