ASHLEY DAYKIN and Paul Sigsworth are through to the intermediate stage of the Clifford Crawshaw Classic at Sowerby Bridge Hillcrest.
Daykin went through 31-23 against Liverpool’s Steve Gaynor in the first round and then defeated Robbie Fitzpatrick, also from Merseyside, 31-21 to book his place at the next stage on Saturday, June 27.
Netherton Con colleague Sigsworth was a 31-18 winner against Chris Barton (Liverpool) and then knocked out Wrexham’s Tony Roberts 31-26.
Jon Sykes, also from Netherton Con, lost 31-25 to Wrexham’s Gerwyn Davies after previously beating Chris Leatham 31-16.
